GIVE

WHY WE GIVE

For the Christian, giving to their local church is not merely a responsibility, its an opportunity. It is a way to participate in the work that God is doing, take care of one-another's needs, and worship God at the practical level.

The underlying motive, however, goes deeper than all these things:

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor,
so that you by his poverty might become rich."
(2 Corinthians 8:9)

We don't give to God hoping he will respond to us, we respond to God's great gift in Jesus Christ by giving sacrificially and joyfully.
